Glenramycin
Enramycin 8 % Granules
Glenramycin is a polypeptide antibiotic obtained by the incubation of Streptomyces fungicidicus. For physicochemical properties, Glenramycin technical occurs as a gray-brown to brown Micro Granules or particles and slightly has a characteristic odor. It is freely soluble in dilute hydrochloric acid and in dimethylformamide, slightly soluble in water and in methanol, and very slightly soluble in acetone, in ethanol, in benzene.
Glenramycin has an antibacterial effect mainly on Gram-positive bacteria and a growth promoting effect on livestock.
Description
Composition:
Each 1 Kg of Glenramycin contains 80 gm of Enramycin HCI a polypeptide, which has a strong action against Gram positive bacteria (Clostridium perfringens). Its main ingredients are enramycin A (C107H138N26O31) & enramycin B (C108H140N26O31). It improves weight gain and feed conversion.
Benefits:
- Improves growth and FCR at very low inclusion levels
- Strong antibacterial properties primarily against Gram-positive bacteria such as Clostridium perfringens, which causes necrotic enteritis and retarded growth in poultry
- No cross-resistance between Glenramycin and other antibiotics or antibacterial
- No detectable residue in tissues
- Reduces wet dropping and depresses ammonia-producing organisms, thereby reducing ammonia levels in the intestinal contents and blood
- Helps to improve nutrient absorption in the birds
- Highly stable in the pelleting process and in feeds
Indications:
- Improves flock intestinal & Gut health, resulting in better FCR and growth rate
- No side effects; cost effective; consistent performance
- Improves feed efficiency and growth
- Difficult to build farm resistance
- It has no direct action on genetic codification of the bacteria but it only interrupts one of the phases of the normal metabolism of membrane formation
- Glenramycin rarely induces resistance and no cross-resistance with existing antibiotics has been demonstrated. It has a strong antibacterial activity against Gram-positive bacteria and inhibits the development of major pathogens of the gut flora
Recommended Dosage:
The suggested inclusion concentration of Glenramycin in feed is 3 ppm to 10 ppm
